Ladies Auxiliary Post 50 Blood Drive

The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, Post 50 Phillips sponsored the Community Blood Center blood drive at the Phillips Municipal Building on
January 9, 2024. Up to this time, this is the 53rd blood drive the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary have host. The auxiliary started scheduling and
hosting blood drives back in 2010, with Dolores Gradinjan as their blood drive chairman. The drive ended with a total of 129 units of blood collected, making this a very successful drive! With this month being National Blood Donor month, the Community Blood Center gave all donors who came to donate, were offered a free red long sleeve CBC t-shirt! The Phillips Lions Club assisted by purchasing the stamps needed for the postcards that were mailed out to the donors as a reminder, and they helped with the set-up and take-down for the drive. The meal for the staff and the 22 dozen cookies were provided by the Masonic Lodge of Phillips. The next Community Blood Center blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday April 30, 2024. Those wishing to donate may make an appointment by calling Dolores Gradinjan at 715-339-6177.
