Hello Amvets Family!
I know that this convention reunites all participants and old friends, and this will be a productive and successful event for all Amvets, Riders, Auxiliary and Sons. The Sons Department of Wisconsin has had a remarkable year since our last Convention. The Sons will continue to strive to carry out the responsibilities, duties and challenges we face so we can meet our Veteran’s needs.
The Sons will have a special guest at this Convention, State Representative James W. Edming, who serves the 87th assembly district, which is the district our Sons Squadron 127 is in. If you have the opportunity to meet him, please give him a big welcome for joining us.
Just to share a few highlights:
Squadron 127 has been active with Honor Guard duties, including Veterans funerals and Posting of Colors at this years Convention. They are caretakers of the cemetery in Ladysmith, posting flags, cleaning monuments etc. Commander Roth was asked to give a speech at the Masonic Temple.
Squadron 99 celebrates 10 years. They host a picnic yearly including circus animals and other fun activities.
Our other squadrons quietly care for our Veterans needs.
