Auxiliary President Deb Suchon

Greetings AMVETS AND AMVETS Ladies Auxiliaries and other SOUND OFF readers,

I would like to introduce myself, Deborah Suchon, President of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 2022-2023 Department of Wisconsin. I became President at the June 2022 Convention in Green Bay at the Radisson.

My 1st official visit was an invite from Auxiliary 7, Oshkosh to attend Post 7’s picnic at the Marine Corps League Bldg. July 12th. I presented my project for the year, which is also Commander Dale Weigand’s project, Sofas for Service.

My 2nd official visit was an invite from Auxiliary 4, Oak Creek to attend Post 4’s picnic. It was a beautiful day for a picnic. A great time it was, and the hospitality was greatly appreciated.

My 3rd official visit was an invite from Auxiliary 13, Redgranite for the Labor Day Parade. There was a meal following the parade back at the Veterans Bldg. The weather held up for a wonderful parade. AMVETS Riders Chapter 13 was also present!

My 4th invite was to Tomah for AMVETS Post 2180’s benefit ride at the Break Room on September 10th. The fundraiser benefitted homeless veterans and veteran relief. The weather was torrential rain all day, and thankfully all the riders came back safe and sound.
For those who attended the State Campout in Brussels, WI (Sturgeon Bay area) the weather was perfect. The events went off without any hitches! Fun was had by all. There will be a new location for 2023, come enjoy the fun, you will not want to miss it!

I traveled a total of 1006 miles and had a blast with each event, we are a family, and it was wonderful to spend time with everyone.
God Bless our Veterans, please keep those still serving in your prayers.

Warm Regards,
Deborah Suchon, President
AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary
Department of Wisconsin
