Greetings AMVETS & AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary
I am telling you, time flies when you are having fun.
I recently attended Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge, PA. The grounds are beautiful. There are so many historic bldgs. There is a Medal of Honor Grove that you can walk thru following a map, almost every state in the Union is represented, The Americanism Conference is offered in October every other year. For anyone who has not been there please consider going, it will not disappoint.
We ventured out to New York to visit the 911 Memorial and the Museum. It was the most touching emotional feeling I have ever had. Our National Commander was also in attendance, along with ladies from National and other states. Deb Gass, our National Americanism Officer put together this entire program and I would like to thank her for her hard work and inspiring event. A special recognition event was held for 3 or our past National Presidents who have contributed so much to maintain this beautiful historic place. Past National Presidents Joan Sirek and Marvell Ruppel were honored for all they have done for Freedoms Foundation. Check out the website. And I hope to see you all in December at the AMVETS Christmas Dance and the SEC on Saturday Dec.3rd.
God bless American and Thank you to all Veterans this Veterans Day and Every day!
Deborah Suchon,
President AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary
